Robert Orledge - Blame it on the Blues (World Première)
Stephen McNeff - Clarinet Concerto (NCWO Commission)
Oliver Waespi - Hebridean Rhapsody
Yo Goto - Fantasma Lunare
Daniel Basford - Songs and Refrains

This concert features the World Premi
ère of 'Blame it on the Blues' written especially for two members of the NCWO, as well as the opportunity to hear McNeff's sparkling Clarinet Concerto, a previous NCWO commission. The serenity of Goto's reworking of Beethoven's famous Moonlight Sonata provides a contrast to Torke's portrait of a metropolitan hub; whilst Waespi and Basford draw on traditional folk music in their evocations of the British Isles.
