Our Patron – Tim Reynish

Tim Reynish conductingThe members and committee of the North Cheshire Wind Orchestra are proud to have Tim Reynish as their patron.

Tim Reynish is one of the leading conductors of wind bands and wind ensembles in the world. He was Head of School for Wind and Percussion at the Royal Northern College of Music for 25 years, where he developed the wind orchestra and ensemble to become recognised as one of the best in the world. He has extensively commissioned new works by contemporary classical composers.

Tim has worked with the ensemble on a number of occasions. His most recent visit being to conduct the ensemble in their November 2014 ‘Seasons Colours’ concert. The work he conducted, Kenneth Hesketh’s ‘Autumn’s Elegy’, which was written to celebrate Tim’s 75th birthday. The NCWO were thrilled to have the opportunity to welcome their patron to the podium once again.
