North Cheshire Wind Orchestra is now recruiting members for all sections.  We have specific vacancies to fill but are hoping to increase all sections of the band.  If you play any of the following instruments then we are especially interested:

  • Trumpet
  • Cornet
  • Trombone
  • French Horn
  • Tuba
  • Euphonium
  • Double Bass
  • Piano
  • Percussion

The orchestra has close links with the RNCM and is well known in the region. It has many professional and high standard amateur players and would provide an excellent opportunity for any student who excels within their own school/college orchestra/band and wants to extend their experience in order to progress their career.

The orchestra plays to a high standard and with a professional attitude. There is no restriction on age but it should be noted that the orchestra expects a professional attitude and good attendance from all its members. The required standard is Grade 5 or equivalent.

The orchestra rehearses on a Friday evening from 7.30pm until 9.45pm at Bridgewater High School (Lower School), Hall Drive, Warrington, WA4 5JL.

Percussion Recruitment

North Cheshire Wind Orchestra is recruiting members to its percussion section.  We currently have a percussion section leader from the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) who is working with the section to develop their skills. You may be interested in joining the percussion section if you have some experience with either drums or piano, or if you are Grade 5 on another instrument and would like to increase your musical skills and try something new.
